• We install and configure Anti-virus.
• We ensure Windows service pack 3 is installed
• We set Windows updates to run automatically.
• We run Windows updater and install all updates.
• We remove VNC and switch to a remote access program like LogMeIn.
• We change Windows login from Administrator to a Limited User, so that software such as trojans (viruses) or employee installed software is very difficult to install.
• We ensure that all of your router and remote access passwords are secure and unique.
• We can close any unneeded ports in router.
• We have devised a new method to add password protection to the "remote access through browser" function. We will add this although we will recommend closing this capability all together.
• We can remove un-needed Apache and Windows services to increase security.
• If PC Charge is in use, we can update to the latest version. (We strongly recommend moving to IP Charge so card data is no longer stored on you system.)
• We can update to new more secure version of SuperSalon.
• We can add "kiosk mode" to your system to close access to the Windows desktop.
• We can add firewall setting to limit access to Internet and email.
• We can change router username and password to ensure they are not set to factory defaults.
